Our Story

The idea for Willow & Everett was born in 2015 when founder Catherine Spencer was searching for a wedding gift for her sister Emily. An avid tea lover, Emily had registered for a basic stainless steel teakettle. Knowing how much joy Emily got from her daily cup of tea, Catherine wanted to find something more special and meaningful.

After coming up empty in her search, Catherine decided to design something herself. She envisioned a teakettle as lovely as the weddings it would honor—one that would be passed down for generations. Catherine sketched teapot shapes late into the night, eventually finding inspiration from the willow tree outside her window. Its graceful branches seemed to form a spout and handle.

When Catherine shared the finished design with her fiance Everett, he was so impressed that he encouraged her to turn it into a business. The name Willow & Everett was born from this magical beginning.

Using connections in the housewares industry, Catherine found a manufacturer able to recreate her vision. The Willow & Everett debut teakettle was crafted from premium 18/10 stainless steel, polished to a mirror finish. Its curved spout evoked the willow’s wispy branches, while the broad handle provided a safe, sturdy grip.

At their wedding, Catherine and Everett gave Emily the very first Willow & Everett teakettle. As Emily unwrapped it, her eyes filled with tears. She said it was the most beautiful teakettle she had ever seen. In that moment, Catherine knew she had created something special.

We use food-grade stainless steel for durability, even heating, and a mirror polish finish. Our borosilicate glass is thermal shock resistant. And we choose BPA-free plastics when needed.

Traditional details like copper rivets, wood handles, and hand stitching add old-world charm. We work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure excellent fit, finish, and function.

Sustainable and Ethical Production

Willow & Everett aims to reduce our environmental impact through sustainable materials and ethical production practices.

Our stainless steel kettles use up to 50% recycled steel. We rely on renewable bamboo for items like trivets. Organic cotton, free of pesticides and bleach, is used in tea towels.

All factories adhere to strict labor and environmental standards. We partner only with manufacturers that share our values around sustainability and social responsibility.

Willow & Everett was born from a desire to bring people together through tea. We want to reignite this sense of community, one cup at a time.
